Two Worlds

JULY 20th, 2021

It was a long road trip and Lake Tahoe was one of our last destinations as we ventured out early to capture the blue skies just as the dark clouds were rolling in. We had no idea if it was going to be a sunny day or a rainy one so we made the best of the time we had that morning just in case. Luckily the weather held up and turned out to be beautiful, but we were prepared either way.

Too many times we have a bad morning and figure that's how the day will go. Like the dark clouds, we see the inevitability of bad luck and expect it to continue. What ends up happening is the day gets worse, not because of bad luck but because we were so focused on how bad it could go and forgot all of the things that actually turned out pretty well.

There's no such thing as a bad day, only moments that could have gone better, and every moment that passes is an opportunity for good things to come. It doesn't take much to look at the bright side of things; just taking a breathe and forging a smile may be all that you need to turn what could have been a disaster into something more special.
