Power And Unity
February 22nd, 2022
A family trip to the East Coast in 2014 began in New York City with beautiful weather and a thirst for history. I couldn't get enough of the iconic buildings lining the avenues and the open parks sprawling around, but there was something about the Statue of Liberty that sparked an emotion.
The strength of America is her tolerance but that's been tested over the years. From politics to race wars, our community has suffered while hate continues to multiply and divide us.
Our power as a nation has always been our unity but we've learned to take everything around us so personally that we don't know how to co-exist anymore. The more we fight amongst ourselves the more open we leave our wounds.
