Behind The Wall
February 8th, 2022
While in Berlin, I was taken back with how modern the city looks compared to it's other European counterparts. There are monuments and buildings still to see, but everything is so spread out as the old buildings have transformed into this mini metropolis. So when I came across this old subway station of Checkpoint Charlie, I was overly thrilled.
Lessons should be learned from our past but never fully forgotten. Erasing history like it never happened does nothing more than provide a blanket around our emotions instead of dealing with them first hand. It's never good to live in the past, but finding a way to use it to make yourself better can ultimately take you out of the darkness.
