Shooting The Moon

DECEMBER 7th, 2021

In September 2019, we set out on a road trip adventure spanning several places through the western half of the United States. While in Idaho, we found this lava park called Craters of the Moon which was full of caves, trails and of course lava formed rocks. Strangely, we only ran into a handful of people along the way.

This was our first trip without having our hotels lined up as we figured we'd wing it most of the way. It was a bit scary to hit the road not knowing what would be available, but we figured might as well go for it and shoot the moon.

Navigating life can be difficult but there are times when you can tell yourself "why not". We spend many days being cautious, but every now and then it feels good to go after what you want regardless if everything lines up perfectly. Sometimes, the best adventures come without notice.
