Oasis NOVEMBER 30th, 2021 When I first researched Brazil I had no idea Lencois Maranhenses even existed. Tucked away from Rio (an extra flight to Sao Luis and another four hour bus ride further away) this magical land of sand dunes and collective rain water was something that we'll never forget. Many times, the things we want to do in life are not always the easiest, but that doesn't mean it's not attainable. It may seem intimidating to plan something outside of our norm, but the thrill of living an adventure can outweigh the road we took for it. Nothing is guaranteed in this world, so why not expand your horizons as you may never get that chance again.

BEHIND THE SCENES: The original photo in full color. The rain water collects over a period of six months then dries out the remainder of the year to form these large pools of water.
